Today the joint marketing checking squard comprising of Municipal Council Sopore, CAPD,, Revenue Department, Legal Metrology Department Food Safety and police conducted market checking of various markets of Town Sopore during the course of action team seized and destroyed various substandard, overrated and misbranded food stuffs on spot and a fine of Rs 2900/=have been recovered from the defaulters. Besides this team seized and destroyed 7kgs of polythene also. The erring shopkeepers/vendors have been directed to remain careful in future.
