BARAMULLA,: AUGUST,12 :

A mega Pran Pledge taking ceremony, followed by a tiranga rally, titled “Meri Maati Meri Desh,” held by Municipal Council Baramulla which commenced from Sikh War Memorial, Khawaja Bagh Baramulla and concluded at Govt Degree College Baramulla, to pay homage to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, President Municipal Council Baramulla, Mr. Omar Azhar Kakroo, Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Mr. Balbir Singh, CO 46RR, Col. Prateek Sharma and Councillors of MC Baramulla.

A diverse group of participants, including employees of MC Baramulla, Civil Society members , representatives from various government and private institutions, as well as students, graced the ceremony. These students were seen holding ply cards and Indian flags. The ply cards bore heartfelt messages in tribute to the nation’s martyrs.

Police personnel and councilors, proudly waving the Indian flags, also took an active part in the rally, showcasing the unity and resilience of the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Omar Kakroo President Municipal Council Baramulla remarked, “The main objective behind ‘Meri Maati Meri Desh’ is to remember and honor the valor of our heroes.” He said that the program will continue until the 30th of August, further emphasizing the significance of this month-long tribute to India’s bravehearts.
