Srinagar, Oct 26 :

Former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti was on Thursday reelected as president of the People’s Democratic Party for 3 years through as voice vote.

One of the party leaders, who was part of the election process told KNS that Mehbooba Mufti was reelected as president at party headquarters in Srinagar today.

He said that vice president Abdul Rehman Veeri proposed the name of Mehbooba Mufti as the president, which was seconded by party general Secretary Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura.

The leader said that election process was done through a voice vote.

Mehbooba Mufti has been elected as the party president president for 4th term in a row. The election to the party’s highest post is held after every 3 years. (KNS)
