URI, JULY 13 :

A minor girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Choolan Kalsan village of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday evening, officials said here.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the girl identified as Sameera Javid daughter of Javid Ahmed of Khater Choolan Kalsan village was attacked by the leopard when she was playing outside her home.

He said that soon after the attack, family members and other people around came and rescued her from the leopard.

The official said that subsequently, she was shifted to GMC Baramulla for treatment, where her condition is stated to be stable—(KNO)
