Baltal, 23rd June.
A table top and Mock Drill was conducted by Department of Disaster Management in collaboration with National Disaster Management Authority and District Disaster Management Authorities on 22nd & 23rd, June to assess the overall preparedness and response measures taken at critical sites to deal with any untoward incident by all the concerned Govt and private agencies on both the routes of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra from Sonamarg to Holy Cave and Pahalgam to Chandanwari route. Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to start from 30th of June upto 11th of August, 2022.
Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain, Member National Disaster Management Authority also participated.

Nazim Zai Khan, Secretary to Govt, DMRRR and Shyambir, Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal participated during the Mock Drill at Baltal.
Major General V K Naik, Brigadier BK Thakar from NDMA conducted the Mock exercise on the Baltal, Sonmarg route
Major General Sudhir Bahl from NDMA, Dr Piyush Singhla, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Suraj Rukwal, Special Secretary DMRRR were present on the Pahalgam route, besides other senior and middle level officers/officials from National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Army, Police, Health Dept, Civil Defence, Transport, Fire & Emergency Services and other emergency services attended the mock exercises. The mock exercises were coordinated by Waseem Shafi, Mohammed Suhail Wani and Bilquees Dar Consultants Disaster Management
