SRINAGAR, JUNE 13 :

A motorcyclist has got killed and another person left with injuries after a two-wheeler collided head on with a KUV taxi in city outskirts on Sunday evening.

Reports reaching GNS said that a bike bearing registration number JK-01M 1909 and a Mahindra KUV 100 (Taxi) bearing registration number JK-01AP 3789 collided near Hajj House in Bemina.

In the incident the bike rider identified as one Farooq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Rajab, a resident Qamarwari received critical injuries and was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital. However he couldn’t be revived and died shortly on his admission.

Another person whose identity could not be immediately ascertained has also received injuries in the incident and is undergoing treatment at a nearby health facility.

A police official confirming the fatal incident told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard for due investigations. (GNS)
