Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for joining us today. We are here to discuss the outcomes of a significant meeting held earlier today at the Lalmandi Union Office, organized by the State President of the Non-Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union (NGHEU) of UT Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by key members of the state body, including:

  • Mr. Fayaz Ah Bhat, State President
  • Mr. Showkat Ah Bhat, General Secretary
  • Mr. Farooq Ab Malik, Chief Organizer
  • Mr. Mohd Amin Dar, Provisional President
  • Mr. Mohd Yaqoob Hajam, State Cashier
  • All District Presidents
  • ( Waseem Ul Islam, Mohd Ishaq, Rafiq Dhobi, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Javid Ahmad Dar, Tariq Maqbool Bhat, representative from Pulwama) and
  • Delegation from Jammu Province

Key Discussions:

During the meeting, the body expressed their pleasure at the formation of the new government and took stock of various issues and challenges faced by non-gazetted horticulture employees. The primary topics of discussion included:

  • Pay Anomaly
  • Recruitment Rules
  • BHT Training Policy
  • BSc Nominations
  • Reorganization

Outcome:

Following the discussions, a subsequent meeting was held with the Worthy Director of Horticulture, Kashmir. The Director provided full assurance and cooperation to address these issues on a fast-track basis.

Closing Remarks:

We are optimistic about the positive changes and improvements that will result from these discussions. The NGHEU remains committed to advocating for the rights and welfare of all non-gazetted horticulture employees. We appreciate the support and cooperation of the new government and the Director of Horticulture, Kashmir.
