Ahead of the Budget Session 2026, the authorities have issued strict instructions prohibiting officers, officials, media persons and personal assistants of legislators from unnecessarily occupying the Assembly Lobby and main entrances.
According to a circular issued in this regard as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Assembly Lobby is exclusively meant for Hon’ble Ministers and Hon’ble Members of the Legislative Assembly. However, during the previous Budget Session, it was observed that unauthorized presence of officers, media persons and PAs caused inconvenience to legislators as well as security personnel.
To ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the Assembly during the upcoming Budget Session, the authorities have directed that no officer, official, media person or PA of Hon’ble Members shall sit or remain unnecessarily in the Assembly Lobby or near the main entrances.
The circular makes it clear that any violation of these instructions will be viewed seriously and dealt with accordingly. (KNC)
