Jammu, Nov 10:
PDP chief and former CM Mehbooba Mufti said Omar Abdullah should face the public and explain how many promises he has fulfilled instead of repeatedly targeting the PDP.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, she said Abdullah, who once opposed smart meters, is now promoting their installation, while issues like gas prices, unemployment, and unfulfilled cylinder distribution promises remain unresolved.
Mufti criticized the government for labeling residents as “electricity thieves” and “land grabbers” despite earlier assurances of free power and land rights. She said PDP had introduced bills to protect daily wagers and landowners.
On terminated employees, she said, “Omar claims the termination orders began with my signature, but he never objected or sought evidence at that time.”
Mufti accused Abdullah of neglecting governance and his own constituency, urging him to focus on administration and deliver on promises made to the people.
