SRINAGAR, JANUARY 22 :

No candidate has been able to clear the written exam for Direct Recruitment of District Judges to J&K High Judicial Services. The exam was held in May 2019.

According to a notification issued by the Registrar General of the High Court of J&K, 217 candidates appeared for the written exam but no person was able to secure the qualifying marks which were 80 for reserved categories and 96 for the general category.

As per reports, this is the fifth time when not even a single person was able to secure the qualifying marks.

The selection process for the exam consisted of three steps i.e a) Preliminary Exam, b) Main Exam, c) a viva voce.

The minimum qualifying marks for ST candidates was 60% and for SC candidates it was 50%, however, none of the candidates who appeared for the written exam were able to secure the qualifying marks.(Courtesy: Law Trend)
