POONCH, AUGUST 10 :

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that they have seized over ₹ 25 lakh Hawala money from two persons near the Line of Control in Poonch district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the police arrested two persons near the LoC in Kanga Bhooti area of Poonch and seized around Rs. 25, 81,500/- Hawala money meant for militant financing.

He said that the accused have been arrested and FIR No. 305/2021 under section 17,18,40 ULAPA /120B IPC has been registered at PS Mendhar.

The official said that further investigation into the case was going on—(KNO)
