Apni party holds maiden political rally in Palhallan, Bukhari says heartening to see people welcoming his party with huge enthusiasm

Apni party president, Altaf Bukhari on Sunday said that Palhallan has been a victim of politics, but time has come that the people of the area stoop up for their rights.

Addressing a massive gathering in Palhallan Eidgah, Bukhari said that he has never thought that people of Palhallan will welcome his party with such huge enthusiasm.

He said that this was a historic political rally in the area after many years as earlier, Palhallan as called as bastion of stone pelting.

“Now people, especially the youth of Palhallan have given a clear message that they want peace, development and prosperity in the area and they want to join the caravan of change,” he added.

Bukhri said that people of Palhallan were deliberately being defamed since decades to gain political vote bank.

He, however, added that at least 250 youths are behind the bars in different jails across the country and he he will strive to bring all of them home.

Meanwhile, a local youth leader Javid Iqbal joined the Apni party during the public rally.

Party vice-president, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that this was a proud moment for Pattan that they have chosen their local youth as a leader to fight for their developmental and political rights in a democratic way. (KNS)
