A suspected terrorist has been killed in an ongoing gunfight between terrorists and security forces in Patnitop, the Army said.

They added that one AK-47 rifle has been recovered in addition to the M4 rifle which was recovered earlier.

Sharing details on social media’s X handle, the Army, as per the news agency said that one terrorist has been killed in the ongoing operation, and one AK-47 has been recovered.

“Op ASSAR: Update: One terrorist has been neutralized in the ongoing operation. One AK-47 has been recovered in addition to the M4 rifle. An intermittent exchange of fire continues as the operation is ongoing,” reads the Army’s tweet.

Earlier, Captain Deepak Singh, who was injured in an ongoing encounter succumbed to his injuries.
