JK Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed serious concern on frequent power cuts during wholy month of Ramzan, which has put people to immense hardships and difficulties. In a Press Statement Additional Spokesperson of the PDP Mohd Rafique Rather said that People from nook and corner of Kashmir have been complaining of frequent power cuts especially during sehri and Iftar time causing immense hardships to people in general. Rather said that Muslims in particular have additional and special religious obligations to be performed during the month of Ramzan but its unfortunate that present dispensation has no respect for religious sentiments and obligations of majority community and instead of providing better facilities to the people they are put in more trouble and uncounted difficulties.
Rafique Rather while urging the government to make it sure that people do not suffer any more on account of power cuts said that PDD need to look in to this serious issue and redress it at an earliest so that uninterrupted power supply is made possible during the wholly month and in particular during Sehri and Iftaar time.
