In a move aimed at addressing pressing public issues, PDP MLAs are set to table three Private Members’ Bills in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, MR. Waheed Ur Rehman Para will seek leave to introduce a bill providing special provisions for residents of the Union Territory regarding recognition of proprietary rights of houses constructed on State land in Kacharia. He will also move a second bill aimed at regularizing adhoc, daily wagers, need-based, and other temporary workers in government services.

Meanwhile, MIR Mohammad Fayaz will introduce a bill seeking to prohibit the advertisement, sale, purchase, consumption, and manufacture of alcoholic drinks across the Union Territory.

The introduction of these bills underscores the PDP legislators’ focus on social welfare, regulatory reforms, and protection of public interests in J&K. (KNC)
