Baramulla Police has busted a gang of burglars / car lifters namely Baber Bashir Bala S/O Bashir Ahmad R/O Krankshun Sopore 2. Sahil Ahmad Kaloo S/O Farooq Ahmad R/O Takyabal Sopore 3. Waseem Ahmad Chatbali S/O Bashir Ahmad R/O Sheer colony Sopore 4. Irfan Ashraf Bhat S/O Mohd Ashraf Bhat R/O Fatehpora Baramulla. 5. Mohd Iqbal Banday S/O Gh Mohammad Banday R/O Sangri Baramulla, who were involved in various cases of PS Baramulla i,e FIR No’s 267/2021 U/S 379/IPC, 72/2022 U/S 379, 90/2022 U/S 379/IPC and 93/2022 U/S 379/IPC 85,86/2022 U/S 457, 380/IPC, 88/2022 U/S 379/IPC. Many Vehicles and other stolen items have recovered from their possession. This gang of car lifters are committing crimes in an organized way by assigning duties to each of its member. Baber Bashir Bala was assigned task of lifting / stealing vehicles from different parts of valley, Sahil Ahmad Kaloo breaking these vehicles into parts and further dispatching to Waseem Ahmad Chatbali who was assigned work/ task of sending these parts to outside UT of J&K.
Moreover, burglar namely Irfan Ashraf Bhat S/o Mohd Ashraf Bhat R/o Fatehpora Baramulla was involved in theft of power cord (Electric wire) in newly constructed residential houses at Gulnar Park & Kralhar. Stolen property electric wire is also recovered.
General public of the Baramulla Town appreciated the action by Baramulla Police against the thieves.
