Handwara, January 10 :

Handwara Police continuing its efforts to strengthen Police- Public relationship, organised a police -public interactive meeting at Police Station Handwara.

The meeting was chaired by Addl. Superintendent of Police Handwara Irshad Hussain-JKPS besides SHO PS Handwara Inspector Parvaiz Ahmad was also present in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the members of traders federation and transporters of Handwara.

The meeting was conveyed to hear the issues of Public and to make a strong bond between Police and Public and to brief the participants about the rising cases of Covid19 in the valley, the measures and SOPs issued by the Govt to prevent the spread of virus.

In the meeting, the participants raised various issues related to police and other civil departments. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. He also sought their co-operation in harmonizing Police -Public relationship.

The participants were also asked for their full co-operation in adherence to the guidelines as well as health advisories issued by government from time to time in view of Covid -19 pandemic to which they gave full assurance.

The participants appreciated the work of Handwara Police and timely action against drug peddlers, implementation of Covid SOPs, rendering Public service and in addressing public grievence in a possible time.The meetings ended on a positive note.
