Jammu and Kashmir Police in Monghama area of Pulwama attached property worth lacs under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 on Sunday.
“In a significant move to counter terrorism, Pulwama police in Pulwama have seized a property worth lacs under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. The property in question, a single-storey residential house located in Monghama Pulwama which has been used by terrorists for their shelter and stay in addition to all other logistic support provided by the house owner Mohammad Lateef Kar, son of Gh Ahmad Kar to the terrorism and also having links to terrorist activities,” reads a statement issued to GNS.
“The property is now under official seizure, prohibiting any transfer, lease, disposal, or alteration without prior permission from the designated authority.”
“This seizure is pursuant to FIR No. 315/2023 U/S 16, 18, 19 20, 38 and 39 UA(P) Act of police station Pulwama,” reads the statement.
“The seizure underscores the unwavering commitment of Pulwama authorities to dismantle terrorist networks and disrupt their financial support systems. Cooperation from the public remains essential in the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region,” the statement reads further. (GNS)
