Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum(JKCSF) has urged the govt to reschedule the vaccination program of COVID_19 for people especially for first jabers, in a statement issued here JKCSF Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani said that due to the surge in the infections, lockdown, and the shortage of vaccine people are in a fix about the rescheduling of the vaccination.
Wani said that earlier govt had prioritised the vaccination for COVID warriors, elderly people and the employees resulting in that many people have already received the first jab of the vaccine. However later due to the upsurges in infections, strict lockdown and shortage of vaccine at health centres, these people are yet to receive the completing second dose of COVID 19 vaccine.
JKCSF statement said that the departments who issued circulars that time for vaccination cant withdraw the monitoring and guidance responsibilty of second dose and things cant be left in a chaotic atmosphere.
JKCSF vehemently urges the govt to reschedule the program of vaccination in a proper manner covering all eligible age groups from students to senior citizens and to make the departmental heads accountable for completion of the dose to whom they have made to vaccinate for the first time.
