Rather urged Commissioner secretary Health to hold impartial enquiry in to the circumstances which led to the victimisation of a renowned doctor.

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 21:
Peoples Democratic Party additional Spokesperson Mohd Rafique Rather has expressed displeasure on the working of the administration of GMC Baramulla and called it autocratic, dictatorial and inefficient.
Former employees leader and teacher turned politician in a press statement castigated the GMC administration for its autocratic and dictatorial attitude in handling the serious and sensetive issues of the prestigious institution thus making a mess and denting the repute of GMC Baramulla.

Rafique Rather while quoting recent incident in which an intelligent, dedicated and committed doctor, Mir Waseem was relieved of from GMC for the reason that said Doctor had pointed out bunglings and mismanagement in the institution. He said that instead of fulfilling parameters of justice by holding proper enquiry in to the issues raised by the said doctor, GMC administration recommended his transfer and on seeing that department is not convinced with the grounds of recommendation, the said doctor was relieved off from GMC without any valid and justified reason .Pertenant to mention that relieved doctor is on study leave for one year from march 2022.
Rather urged Commissioner secretary Health to hold impartial enquiry in to the circumstances which led to the victimisation of a renowned doctor which subsequently has added to the sufferings of the patients coming to the hospital from far off places and punish those responsible for reating mess in the system. Rafique Rather has also requested District Development Commissioner Baramulla to constitute a high level committee which would hold indepth enquiry in to the complaints against GMC administration to save this prestigious institution from getting ruined by incompetent people.
