Srinagar, Dec 22 :

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinderpal Singh, on Monday warned owners of non-J&K registered vehicles to promptly transfer the automobiles in their names or face seizure.

Speaking with reporters, the SSP Traffic, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “Post-NOC registration is must to curb prolonged misuse of out-of-state vehicles.”

He urged immediate compliance to avoid tough measures in rural Kashmir. “Many people obtain NOCs for out-of-state vehicles but delay registration for years, leading to strict action including seizures of several such vehicles already”, he said.

SSP Singh cautioned vehicle drivers against overloading beyond intake capacity. “Violations won’t be tolerated. Our teams are actively monitoring to ensure adherence.”

He also said actions have been taken against stunt performers, including counselling and vehicle seizures, with a firm directive not to entrust vehicles to children without valid driving licenses—(KNO)
