BARAMULLA ,DECEMBER, 02 :
An extraordinary meeting of Traders Federation Baramulla was held which was chaired by Federation secretary, Tariq Mughloo. In the meeting – My town My Pride was discussed in context with historical town Baramulla. In the meeting Er Tariq said that the initiative is a welcome step on part of the UT administration however, the issues that federation had raised in the first phase of My town My Pride 2020 are yet to be resolved that has undermined the whole process and made this as a mere “publicity stunt” for those at helm of affairs. Er Tariq Mughloo said that in the last meeting which was also attended by the then Lt Governor of J&K via e conference the money was kept for the parking slots in town but that dream is yet to be realised. The fresh transformers were procured for the town unfortunately, those transformers haven’t been connected with the main lines from past one yeae. Also issue of converting PDC space at Rangwar into hockey ground is yet to be finalised and the old hospital Baramulla is still unused, all these issues had come for discussion in last meeting but progress till date remained zero. The federation said that the meetings and shows in the backdrop of My Town My Pride wont have any everlasting impact till earlier promises are fulfilled. Er Mughloo requested the J&K Lt Governor to get the promised made to people of town fulfilled at an earliest so the people of town wont be deprived from their basic rights.
