Swift action on Police saves life of minor

In a really shocking incident, a 56 year old school driver tried to kidnap a 14 year old girl in Verinag area of Anantnag while swift action of police saved the life of minor.

An official told Kashmir News Apex (KNA) said that on a specific information a Police team Headed by SHO Verinag Tajamul Islam wani under Supervision of SDPO Dooru Dr Ishan Gupta and SHO Dooru Syed Nazir Indrabi reached in the forests of Koot Forest range verinag where a 56 years old driver namely Abdul Hamid Rather Son of Ghulam Rasool Rather Resident of Batagund Dooru Diver of School bus Bearing number JK03E 2533 of Sir Syed Memorial institute Dooru Shahabad attempts to kidnap and rape a 14 years old girl student( name with held) after returning from School.

They said that said diver had parked yhe school bus in dense forests in Koot area of Tehsil Shahabad Bala and started molesting the school girl after which the girl started crying loudly after which a number of locals rushed towards the spot and informed the police.

They added that after recieving phone call, a team headed by SHO Verinag Tajamul Islam Wani under of instructions of SDPO Dooru rushed towards the spot and traced out the girl with help of locals .

In this regard FIR 87/2022 under relevant sections has been registered in Police station Verinag for further Investigation, they said.

Locals appreciated he Job of police and the locals involved in saving the life of School Girl.

According to statement by family members of the girl the driver was trying to molest the girl from last many days and they also said that there is negligence of School Adminstration as well as the School adminstration did not depute any staff member to drop students to their homes. (KNA)
