Kupwara, Sep 29 :

Six people were injured after Tata Sumo passenger vehicle turned turtle in the Zarla area of Karnah in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

An official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the Tata Sumo was en route from Kupwara to Tanghdar when it lost control and overturned in the Zarla area of Karnah.

Following the incident, the injured passengers were rushed to the Sub District Hospital Tanghdar for medical treatment where there condition is said to be stable.

The injured have been identified as Badrain Begum (65), wife of Late Ab Majeed, resident of Shartpalla, Zubaida Begum (40), wife of Abdul Khaliq Bhat, resident of Hajinard, Skinder Magray (40), son of Mangta Magray, resident of Khowarpara, Bushra (20), daughter of Ab Majeed, resident of Shartpalla, Showkat Ahmad (28), son of Shazid Shah, resident of Handwara and Nasir Hussain (20), son of Noor Haider Shah, resident of Baghbella.

“A case has been registered in this regard at the Tanghdar police station,” the official added.(KNS
