Course was Inaugurated by Commandant SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu Z.N Manhas

JAMMU, JANUARY 06:

A Six-week “Basic Disaster Management Training course” for (47) Police personnel nominated by PHQ J&K of different districts of Jammu Province was inaugurated today by Commandant SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu Z.N Manhas at the Central Training Institute (CTI) HG/CD, Kot Bhalwal.
Dy SP SDRF, Dinesh Gupta; Dy.SP Training SDRF Principal CTI HG/CD Kot-Bhalwal, Rohit Dev Singh and other staff members were also present.
Speaking at the inaugural session, the Commandant SDRF highlighted the aim and objectives of the “Basic Disaster Management Course.” “The core aim is to train manpower including the police personnel in disaster management techniques. They have to act as first responders at the time of disaster,” he added. He encouraged the police personnel to equip themselves with essential skills to act effectively as the first responders in disaster-affected areas.
