SNS Kashmir on Saturday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of eminent journalist and Chief Editor of Daily Nida-e-Mashriq, Abdul Rashid Shah, whose passing after a brief illness has left the media fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir deeply saddened.
Describing his demise as an irreparable loss to Kashmir’s journalistic community, members of SNS Kashmir said Shah was widely respected for his integrity,dedication and lifelong commitment to the cause of journalism, particularly Urdu media in the region.
A condolence meeting in this regard was held under the chairmanship of Haji Karamat Qayoom, where participants paid rich tributes to the departed soul and remembered his valuable contributions to the field of journalism.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted Shah’s unwavering commitment to truthful reporting and his role in strengthening Urdu journalism in Kashmir, stating that his professionalism and dedication will continue to inspire generations of journalists.
Extending their heartfelt sympathies, members of SNS Kashmir conveyed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this profound loss.
They also said that Abdul Rashid Shah’s legacy and contributions to journalism will always be remembered with respect and admiration in the media circles of Kashmir.(SNS)
