Kupwara, Oct. 21:

An army man was injured in a sniper attack by Pakistani troops along the line of control (LoC) in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Official sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the Pakistani army fired a sniper shot at an Indian army post in the Keran sector on Friday evening. The sniper shot left a soldier, Sourav Kumar, wounded in his left chest.

Sources said that the injured soldier was airlifted to the army’s 92-base hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.

Sources further said that the condition of the soldier is out of danger and stable. (KS)
