A solemn wreath-laying ceremony and funeral prayers were held today at Eidgah Wangam Shangus for Army Martyr Rifleman Kaiser Ahmad Shah, of 03 JAKLI/18RR. The event witnessed a significant gathering of around 800 people, including local dignitaries and community members.
MLA Shangus,Reyaz Ahmad Khan, and the Commanding Officer of 19 RR, along with I/C SSP Anantnag, Furqan Qadir, participated in the wreath-laying ceremony, honoring the sacrifice of the brave soldier.
Rifleman Kaiser Ahmad Shah sustained injuries while on duty at Botapathri, Gulmarg, and later succumbed to his injuries. The community came together to pay their respects, and the proceedings concluded peacefully, reflecting the deep respect and gratitude for his service.
