Sopore, 24 January :
Sopore Police recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested her kidnapper.
On 23 January, Police station Dangiwacha received a complaint from one (name withheld) resident of Kangroosa stating that his sister (Name withheld) has been kidnapped by Ishfaq Ahmad War S/O Abdul Ahad War R/O Haril Qaziabad Handwara.
Upon this information, a case FIR number 06/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police station Dangiwacha and investigation was set into motion.
After strenuous efforts of Sopore Police the accused kidnapper alongwith kidnapping girl was arrested within 24 hours. After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
