The spouses and children of ‘militant attack’ victims will have the reserved MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic 2021-22 from the central pool of seats, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has said.
Under Secretary to Government of India (GoI) Rajeev Kumar in an official communiqué issued earlier in last week of October-2021 has said that he was directed to forward a copy of guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for allocation of Central Pool MBBS and BDS seats for spouse and children of civilian victims of terrorist for the academic year 2021- 22.
The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that Kumar has said, “The ministry is not conducting any examination in this regard, the selection will be made only on the basis of marks obtained by the students in NEET-UG 2021 and possessing necessary educational qualification.”
The authorities have asked the state governments, Union Territory (UT) administrations to give wide publicity while inviting applications from eligible candidates for the academic year 2021-22 for allocation of MBBS and BDS seats from the Central Pool for spouses and children of terrorist victims.
The GoI directed the concerned authorities to ensure that complete applications of eligible candidates carry all necessary documents in respect of their states UTs along with due verification, authentication and countersignatures of the competent authority.
“Applications as indicated shall be sent within 15 days after the declaration of results of NEET-UG 2021, as the last date of admission is likely to be decided shortly by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through scanned copies of application along with all documents,” it reads—(KNO)
