Srinagar, January 19 :

District Administration Srinagar has repealed the categorization of 111 micro containment zones after no fresh Covid-19 case was reported from these zones.

Srinagar District Administration had notified various micro containment zones after a ‘surge’ in Covid-19 cases.

District Development Commissioner Srinagar Muhammad Aijaz Asadh has issued an order saying that no fresh Covid-19 case has been reported as a result 111 micro containment zones have been completely de-notified.

The order reads that various micro containment zones were notified to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection Srinagar.

During the random sampling of 10% population of the Micro Containment Zones was conducted and no fresh case was reported from these Zones.

The denotification of these zones has been recommended by Zonal Medical Officers from Batamaloo, Zadibal, Khanyar, SR Gunj and Block Medical Officer Hazratbal. (KNT)
