Bandipora, November 29 :
Bhartiya Janata Party general secretary, Ashok Kaul on Monday said that the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir can be possible if the selective killings will stop here.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS), talking to reporters on the sidelines of a party meeting in Bandipora, Kaul said that restoration of statehood has been promised by the PM and HM on the floor of the parliament. “But it will be restored only after the situation gets normal in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Kaul said that when a common man feels safe and lives without fear in J&K ,then definitely statehood would be granted to Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also assured that statehood would be given back to J&K and their party has always supported that statehood should be restored.
About repealing of the three farm laws, he said that after proper discussions the farms laws were repealed. “It is not that by boycott of some MP’s, the discussion wasn’t held but after taking all the suggestions into consideration, this decision was taken. Same was done during the abrogation of article 370 and 35A.”
He further said that the BJP strongly condemns recent civilian killings as BJP workers, non-locals and the innocent people of the valley are being killed in these targeted killings.
“BJP is against such violence and we believe that no religion allows innocent killings of human beings. It is an act of cowardice and BJP strongly condemns such acts.”
He also said that after delimitation process is completed in March 2022, it will be immediately followed by elections in J&K. (KNS)
