Amid speculations about his resignation, senior National Conference Leader, Surjit Singh Slathia on Tuesday said that he was yet to decide anything about his resignation from the NC and is fulfilling all his obligations assigned to him by the party.
Talking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS), SS Slathia said from the last few days there have been many rumours in various media outlets regarding his resignation from NC and joining the BJP, but he has not decided anything yet
“I am still a senior leader of NC and I am fulfilling all my obligations assigned to me by the party,” he said.
He said that the NC has been making preparations for the election process and he has been engaged in forming delegates for blocks and districts for the election.
“This year NC has created a separate district wing for the ladies so that they could represent themselves without any hesitation,” Slathia said.
On being asked about his resignation, he said that he was not in contact with any of the party members and he has not talked about the matter as they have been working for the election process.
Replying to a question about Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to J&K, Slathia said that he does not have any information regarding his visit to J&K and not does he have any contact with the Home ministry.
“Our party provincial president, Devender Rana is also engaged in the election process and he also has not decided about leaving the NC yet,” he said. (KNS)
