55 students from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Pune, are on Kashmir visit to understand and take firsthand experience of the traditional designs used in the arts and crafts of Kashmir.

A warm welcome was extended to the students by the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir. The students were acquainted through a presentation about the offbeat destinations in Kashmir.

In addition a detailed presentations were made by Assistant Director Tourism, Kashmir, Zeeshan Khan (JKAS) regarding the significance of design in carving various arts and crafts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The students were also showcased making of various famous arts and crafts of Kashmir, like Kani Shwal, crewel, jewellery, paper mache, etc., through a virtual video presentation. 

A question-and-answer session was also held, and students were very keen to understand the culture and diversity of J&K.

All the queries and doubts were answered so that these students can act as ambassadors of J&K across the country.
