Missing since September last year, 14-yr-old boy traced out in Delhi

BANDIPORA, JUNE 07 :

The Jammu and Kashmir police with the help of Delhi police Monday reunited a teenage boy with his family after nearly 8 months as the boy had gone missing in September last year from his maternal uncle’s home in Asham locality of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Sumbal police had received a complaint from one Abdul Rashid Sheikh of Kondbal area of Manasbal on September 22 last year that his son Tawfeeq (14) alias Aakash, who used to live with his maternal uncle in Asham, had gone missing.

He said that accordingly a special team was constituted to trace out the missing boy and today the boy was reunited with his family after around 8 months.

The official said that the boy was traced in Delhi with the help of Delhi police who handed over him to Sumbal police.

He said Tawfeeq Rashid alias Aakash Rashid used to live with his maternal uncle in Rakhi Asham area of Sumbal since his childhood and went missing in September last year.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid, father of Tawfeeq thanked Sumbal police for tracing out his son reuniting the family with him after nearly 8 months—(KNO)
