Sopore, Feb. 13 :

Eight health employees, including three doctors, were found absent from their duties during a surprise inspection at PHC Tujjer in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.

An official at ADC office Sopore told news agency Kashmir Scroll that, on the instructions of ADC Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina, a team headed by Naib Tehsildar conducted a surprise inspection at PHC Tujjer.
He said during the inspection, it was revealed that eight employees, including three doctors, were absent from their duties without valid reasons.

He said the absentees, including Dr. Rubeena, Dr. Saima, Dr. Rifat, Mushtaq Ahmad, Shaida Farooq, Parvaiz Ahmad, Shaista Akther, and Firdous Ahmad, have been directed to explain their absence and submit a report within two days to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Sopore.

The official further said that, in an effort to support the community and those in need, the deducted one-day’s salary for the month of February will be credited towards the District Red Cross Fund in Baramulla. (KS)
