Baramulla 13th October:
Thousands of devotees from across Kashmir valley thronged the revered shrine of renowned saint Hazrat Syed Janzab Wali (RA) on 605th annual Urs on Friday which was observed with great devotion and religious enthusiasm.
Devotees including elders, men, women and children from different areas of Kashmir valley gathered here to have glimpse of “Tubrookat” the holy relics after Fajr prayer and will have a glimpse of Holy relics after every prayer on friday.
While paying their obeisance at the Shrine devotees prayed for peace and prosperity of the state and Muslim world.
On this occasion the streets were decorated with traditional lights and the shrine was decorated with tiny electrical bulbs “Zool” which gave the shrine a fascinating look.
Islamic scholars on this occasion highlighted the teachings of the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed SAW propagated by these Sofi saints like Syed Janbaz Wali RA.
On the occasion this year, a large number of devotees spent their time reciting verses from the holy Quran and prayed for peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
