Srinagar, Jan 31 :
Devout Muslims across Kashmir observed the Friday following Meraj-ul-Aalam with deep religious devotion, with the largest congregation held at Aasaar-e-Sharief Hazratbal in Srinagar.
According to Prism Post (PP), thousands of worshippers, including men, women, and children, participated in the Friday prayers at the revered shrine, where they had the blessed opportunity to witness the sacred Deedar of the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) after the prayers.
The spiritual connection of the day extended from the morning (Fajr) prayers and will continue until the night (Ishaa) prayers. Authorities had made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event, including security, transportation, and other essential services for the devotees.
Many devotees expressed their emotions after witnessing the sacred Deedar. Nissar Ahmad, a 56-year-old resident of Srinagar , said, “Seeing the Holy Relic fills my heart with peace and strengthens my faith. It is a moment of immense spiritual connection.”
Ruby Jan, a young woman also from Srinagar, shared, “This is my first time witnessing the Deedar. The atmosphere here is indescribable. The prayers, the unity, and the faith of the people make it a truly blessed occasion.”
Apart from Hazratbal, major congregational prayers were also held at other significant shrines across the valley, underscoring Kashmir’s deep-rooted spiritual and cultural traditions. Religious clerics addressed the gatherings, emphasizing the teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). (PP)
