Rajouri, Feb 19 :
A private car skidded off the road and plunged into the river in Rajouri, resulting in the death of a person on board, while the driver and another man sustained critical injuries.
A police official said that the incident occurred in the middle of the night near Tain Bridge in Nowshera.
“Three persons including the father-son duo were on board when the Alto Car (JK12B-4283) skidded off the road and fell into the river Chenab. The driver Muhammad Ami son of Abdul Salam a resident of Lohran Mandi Poonch and another man identified as Muhammad Azhar son of Muhammad Arshid sustained critical injuries while a man Muhammad Arshid died in the hospital,” the official said.
He added that the injured are being treated at Sub-District Hospital Nowshera.
The car suffered massive damage in the accident. (KNT)
