While authorities imposed corona curfew on Friday in Baramulla, two prominent hotels were sealed here and cases were registered against the owners for violation of COVID19 guidelines.
Administrator for Covid-19 containment Zone of Baramulla town, Zeeshan Khan while confirming the incident said despite imposition of complete corona curfew in Baramulla district which was announced last evening and only essential services was permitted, two hotels were found open violating COVID19 guidelines.

“The violators (two hoteliers) were found not adhering to the order so they were sealed and case was registered against the owners for violation, he said.
Hotel Dawat and Maizbaan were sealed and fined for violating COVID19 norms. In this regard, Baramulla police also registered FIR against hotels, he informed.
Meanwhile, officials appealed to the public to co-operate with the government to prevent the spread of COVID19.
They further said, violators shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law, they added.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla had ordered that that there will be a complete corona curfew tomorrow 04.06.2021 (Friday) in Baramulla district.
“Only essential services as permitted in the order dated 30.05.2021 shall be allowed,” the official said.
Earlier, scores of shops and other business establishments including hotels and gym centres were sealed by the district administration Baramulla in various towns including Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan, and Tangmarg for violation of Covid-19 SOPs issued by the Jammu and Kashmir government.
