Srinagar, September 27 :
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has posted two officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS) to the Kashmir Valley. An IIS Officer of 2019 batch, Naseer Rather has been posted as Field Publicity Officer Srinagar in the Regional Office of Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, while as another officer of the same batch, Sheikh Mudasir Amin, has been posted as Editor (News) in the Regional News Unit of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar.An IIS Officer of 2019 batch hailing from Asham Sonawari village of the Bandipora district, Naseer Rather is currently posted as Editor (News) in the Regional News Unit of All India Radio Jammu. A Journalism postgraduate, he has a vast experience of over a decade in the Media and Communication sector. He has earlier served in the J&K Information Department and the Regional News Units of Doordarshan and All India Radio Srinagar, besides working for some local dailies and some national news organizations. An IIS officer of the same batch hailing from Dialgam village of Anantnag district, Sheikh Mudasir Amin is currently posted as Media and Communication Officer in the Press Information Bureau Jammu in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. A journalism postgraduate, Mudasir has also a vast experience in Media and Communication Sector. He has earlier served in the J&K Education Department and worked for some local dailies and News Magazines.(KNS)
