Jammu, Feb 17 (KNC): The two Pakistani inmates who had fled from the Observation Home in RS Pura on Monday evening have been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Punjab, officials said on Tuesday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the duo was traced and taken into custody during a swift operation carried out by police teams.

As reported earlier be KNC, two Pakistani nationals and a local gangster escaped from the Juvenile Observation Home in R.S. Pura area of Jammu on Monday evening after allegedly attacking police personnel on guard duty.

The trio assaulted the on-duty guards at around 5:05 PM and managed to flee from the facility. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras. The escapees are also suspected to have fled with a pistol.

During the incident, SPO Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Parveen Kumar sustained injuries and were shifted for medical treatment. (KNC)
