Srinagar, January 28 :

Jammu and Kashmir Hajj and Umrah Companies (J&KHUC) on Friday said that Umrah was going on smoothly in Saudi Arabia and no difficulties were being faced by the pilgrims as is being circulated by some vested interests.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), senior executive member Jammu and Kashmir Hajj and Umrah companies, Aijaz Ahmad Mir said that pilgrims are not facing any difficulty while performing Umrah.

“Currently, we are in Madinah city and pilgrims can easily go to Haram and come back. There is no difficulty being faced by them as is being circulated by some vested interests,” he said.

He said that every pilgrim has been given a bracelet and there information has been stored in this bracelet. “There is no need of any application and neither Saudi government has enacted any new law for the same,” he said.

He also said that permission for Umrah pilgrimage is already being given by the Saudi government through various visa companies.

Mir said that they fail to understand why some people don’t want Kashmiri pilgrims to perform Umrah pilgrimage by spreading misinformation. (KNS)
