Giving in to the reports into ‘unnecessary movement’ of home-isolated Covid-patients, potential of spreading Covid-19 besides creating scare among public, District Magistrate Kupwara Imam-ud-Din has communicated with all Tehsildars concerned to identify the offenders for initiation of action.
A communiqué addressed to the Tehsildars, of which a replica is in possession of news agency Global News Service (GNS), states that “It has been reported that the patients in the home isolation are coming out unnecessarily from their houses which may lead to the spread of diseases or create panic among the general public. In this context, you are directed to ask the concerned Lumberdars Chowkidars/Panches/ Sarpanches to report the name and address of such persons, violating the SOPS/guidelines laid down in this regard.”
“Further all BDCs/ DDCs be requested to render similar support in curbing such menace, so that further action can be initiated against the persons involved in spread the pandemic”, it further reads.
