UPA Case: Police Conducts Searches At Houses of 36 Terrorist Associate In Srinagar

Srinagar, April 28:

Police on Monday said that in its continuing persistent action against terrorist associates of proscribed terrorist outfits and in the furtherance of investigation into cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Srinagar Police continues searches across multiple locations in the city with the aim to dismantle terror-supporting infrastructure in the district.

In a handout, the police said that it has conducted searches at the residences of :

1. Javid Ahmad Najar son of Gh Qadir Najar resident of Zaibakadal involved in case FIR No. 210/1999 U/S 7/27 IA Act of PS M.R.Gunj, Srinagar, 86/2006 U/S 147,341 RPC of PS Kothibagh, 07/2007 U/S 13 ULAPof PS Safakadal, 04/2007 U/s 307 RPC ,7/27 IAA of PS Nigeen, 32/2007 U/S 302 RPC ,7/27 IAA of PS Soura, 73/2019 U/s 148,149,152,336,427,307 RPC ,13 ULAP of PS Soura. 35/2023 U/S 353, 332,506 IPC of PS M R Gunj.

The searches were conducted in accordance with proper legal procedures in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses under the supervision of the officers of J&K Police.
The searches were carried out to seize arms, documents, digital devices etc. with the objective of evidence collection and intelligence gathering to detect and deter any conspiratorial or terrorist activity against the security of the Nation.

This decisive action of J&K Police aims to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir by identifying and taking legal action against individuals engaged in such anti-national and criminal activities.
