Srinagar, April 16 :

In a tragedy, three students have been declared dead as the boat capsized in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday morning.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a boat drowned along with some children who were crossing the river Jehlum from Gandbal to Batwara in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. However,  with the swift action of river police, all the students were rescued and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, sources informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that three of them were declared dead on arrival.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
