Washington, Mar 01 :
United States President Donald Trump on Monday delivered a six-minute national address announcing the launch of a large-scale military campaign, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” targeting Iran.
According to the President as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the United States, along with its partners, has carried out extensive strikes over the past 36 hours on multiple targets, including facilities linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, air defence systems and key naval assets. He claimed that nine ships and a naval facility were destroyed within minutes during the operation.
In a major declaration, Trump stated that Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is dead and alleged that a significant portion of Iran’s top military leadership has been eliminated. He further asserted that Iranian officials are now seeking surrender and immunity, even as US military operations continue “in full force.”
The President also confirmed that three US service members were killed in action during the campaign and vowed that their deaths would be avenged. He described the military action as a necessary measure to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and long-range missile capabilities. (KNC)
