Srinagar, October 29 :

Srinagar Police on Saturday asked people to verify credentials of prospective sellers, buyers, middle-men etc. during land sale-purchase dealings to avoid cheating during other monetary and business transactions as well.

“Many complaints have been received from citizens of Srinagar related to cheating during monetary and business transactions and during land sale-purchase dealings as well. It is requested to kindly verify credentials of such persons like prospective sellers, buyers, middle-men etc”, Srinagar Police in a tweet said.

Notably number of locals earlier approached police after duped by elements during monetary and business transactions. The locals had sought legal action against these elements to stop such irregularities. Sources in Police informed that Many land grabbers and such cheaters have been booked in FIRs and PSAs have also been invoked. (KNS)
