The vocational teachers of Jammu and Kashmir engaged before 2018 are all set to receive enhanced salary from the ongoing financial year.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), State Coordinator, Vocational Education of Jammu and Kashmir Samagra Shiksha in this regard has said that it has got a nod from the Ministry of Education (MoE) to execute the enhanced salary for these vocational teachers.

“As per the communication from MoE, Government of India (GoI), all the vocational training partners presently engaged with Samagra Shiksha Jammu and Kashmir are informed that monthly salary of existing vocational trainers engaged against the posts approved before 2018 have been enhanced from Rs 20,000 to Rs. 22,000 from the current Financial Year.”

The state coordinator however said that the vocational Trainers who shall be engaged against the posts approved after 2019 and onward years shall continue to draw the monthly salary with Rs 20,000 till further orders.

The officer said that in this regard, he has been directed to request all the concerned vocational training partners to release the salary of existing vocational trainers at revised rates that is Rs 22,000 per month with immediate effect from April-01-2022.

“However, if the salary has already been released on pre-revised rates, the due arrears must be released on immediate basis in favour of the vocational trainers,” the officer said—(KNO)
