“Shehr-i-Khaas has always remained the epicenter of cultural, artistic, educational and commerce related activities in Srinagar but in current times it immensely lags behind with regards to the infrastructural facilities. There exists a huge developmental inequity in comparison to the other areas of district Srinagar but Apni Party will ensure that the lost prestige and glory of Shahr-i-Khaas is restored,” he said.
Bukhari was addressing a massive Party workers convention held at Doonipora, Imamia Park, Zadibal wherein SMC Corporator Tanveer Pathan along with his scores of associates joined Apni Party.

He also urged the administration along with department of Handicrafts to announce a one-time loan waiver for Artisans keeping in view the prevailing economic situation. “These artisans are economically broken where they cannot even feed their families now. The government must take a humane consideration over this matter and waive off the Artisan loans on compassionate basis. They should also be provide with further economic aid so that they can start afresh and buy required raw materials,” he added.
Speaking over the highly deteriorated condition of Khushalsar, Gilsar and Anchar Lakes, Bukhari said the onus of conserving these natural water bodies lies on Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) which must initiate a cleanness drive at an earliest.
